Starting today, Missouri American Water will begin replacing approximately 1,800 feet of 1950s-vintage, 6-inch-diameter water main in Jefferson City along Oakview Drive from Binder to Marilyn drives and on Hillsdale Drive from Binder to Oakview drives.
Crews from Twehous Excavating are working during the daylight hours Monday through Friday, with a goal to complete the project in late January. Some traffic lane closures will occur over the course of the project. The lane closures may change from week-to-week as the work advances.
Company officials said customers in the area have been notified of the upcoming project.
