WASHINGTON (AP) - Caira Washington had 21 points and 11 rebounds to help No. 22 George Washington roll to a 78-48 victory over American University on Tuesday night.

Washington followed her game-high 23-point effort in the Colonials (2-0) opener, shooting 10 of 12 from the floor. Kelli Prange scored 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting, and Lauren Chase had five assists with 2 points. Jonquel Jones, an Atlantic Ten preseason all-conference member along with Washington, chipped in 14 points.

Michelle Holmes, the leading scorer and rebounder for American last season, scored 17 points for the Eagles (0-2) after being held to just 6 points in American's opening loss to Princeton. Lauren Crisler had 8 points and Michael Harris added 7.

Washington made her first six shots and the Colonials led 24-8 in the first quarter, and 34-18 at halftime.

The Colonials have won three straight, and four of five against the cross-town Eagles.

INDIANA 54, No. 24 CHATTANOOGA 43

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - Tyra Buss scored 16 points, leading a surge to open the fourth quarter and Indiana upended Chattanooga in the preseason WNIT.

Amanda Cahill added 13 points for the Hoosiers (2-0), who will play DePaul in Chicago in the semifinals on Thursday.

Kym Royster scored the last basket of the third quarter to pull Indiana within 37-35 and scored the first two baskets of the fourth. Then Buss scored six straight points to put the Hoosiers ahead 45-37 before Keiana Gilbert's free throw ended the Mocs' drought at 4:49.

Gilbert led the Mocs (2-1) with 13 points and Chelsey Shumpert had 12.

Shumpert's jumper, followed by a 3-pointer at 3:38, cut the deficit to 47-43 but that was the end of the scoring for the Mocs.

Cahill hit a 3 with 2:47 left and Buss scored the last four points for Indiana.
