Women's Basketball: Missouri wins exhibition

COLUMBIA - The Missouri women's basketball team closed out its two-game exhibition season with another win Monday night, capturing a 97-54 victory against Quincy.

Missouri scored at least 24 points in every quarter, jumping out to a 26-15 edge after one period, a 49-29 lead at halftime and a 73-38 advantage after three quarters.

The Tigers shot an astounding 59.7 percent from the field in the win, making 37-of-62 shots. That included a scorching 14-of-27 (51.9 percent) effort from 3-point range.

Quincy, meanwhile, made just 18-of-52 shots (34.6 percent).

Maddie Stock racked up a game-high 17 points to lead five Tigers in double figures. Sophie Cunningham and Morgan Stock added 15 apiece, while Lianna Doty and Bri Porter had 13 each.

Missouri will begin its regular season at 7:05 p.m. Friday at Missouri State.
