WASHINGTON (AP) - Kevin Durant left at halftime with a strained left hamstring and Russell Westbrook took over, compiling a triple-double with 22 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder past the Washington Wizards, 125-101 Tuesday night.
Durant, second in the NBA in scoring entering the night, had 14 points and 10 rebounds in the first half. With less than a minute remaining in the second quarter, Durant was fouled by Kris Humphries on a drive to the basket and then limped a bit, clutching at the back of his left leg.
The 2013-14 MVP made both free throws and stayed in the game until halftime.
Marcin Gortat and Ramon Sessions led the Wizards with 15 points apiece. But John Wall had only nine points and five assists as Washington's losing streak reached three games.
PELICANS 120, MAVERICKS 105
NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Anthony Davis scored 17 points before leaving at halftime with a bruised right hip, and New Orleans beat Dallas for its first victory of the season.
Davis helped the Pelicans (1-6) build an 18-point halftime lead that never dipped below 14 points even after he left.
Team officials said X-rays on the All-Star forward's hip were negative, but they were holding him out as a precaution.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 18 points for Dallas, which trailed 37-36 after Zaza Pachulia's basket before the Pelicans went on an 18-0 run that began with three straight baskets by Davis.
CAVALIERS 118, JAZZ 114
CLEVELAND (AP) - LeBron James tied a season high with 31 points, and the Cavaliers rallied for their seventh consecutive victory.
Cleveland trailed 95-86 midway through the fourth, but James took over and brought the Quicken Loans Arena crowd to its feet with one of his trademark plays.
With the Cavaliers down 95-91, James stole the ball near midcourt and headed to the basket. Rodney Hood wrapped his arms around James, but the four-time MVP made a layup anyway and flexed his bicep as Hood was called for the foul.
James made the foul shot, and Cleveland went on to the win.
Mo Williams scored 29 points for the Cavaliers, who haven't lost since the season opener in Chicago.
Alec Burks led Utah with 24 points while Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors each added 17.
KNICKS 111, RAPTORS 109
TORONTO (AP) - Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points, reserve Lance Thomas had 17 and the Knicks handed the Raptors their first home loss of the season.
DeMar DeRozan had a season-high 29 points for Toronto, while Kyle Lowry had 23 points and nine rebounds.
The victory was New York's third on the road this season after winning just seven times away from Madison Square Garden last year.
The Raptors gave up their highest point total of the season, and it was just the second time in eight games that Toronto had allowed 100 or more points.
The Knicks were 11 for 23 (48 percent) from 3-point range.
HEAT 101, LAKERS 88
MIAMI (AP) - Chris Bosh scored a season-high 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Miami, and Hassan Whiteside had 19 points and 15 rebounds.
Luol Deng scored 14 and Dwyane Wade had 12 for the Heat, who played hours after trading guard Mario Chalmers and forward James Ennis to Memphis for two players.
Los Angeles played without Kobe Bryant for the first time this season. Bryant sat out with a back problem.
Nick Young led Los Angeles with 17 points. Lou Williams and Metta World Peace each scored 14 for the Lakers, who also got 12 from Jordan Clarkson.
HORNETS 104, TIMBERWOLVES 95
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Jeremy Lin scored 19 points and Jeremy Lamb added 18 to lead Charlotte to the road win.
Nicolas Batum added 17 points for the Hornets, who overcame a combined 7-for-21 shooting from Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker to beat the depleted Timberwolves.
Karl-Anthony Towns had 19 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks for the Timberwolves, who played without starters Andrew Wiggins (sore right knee), Ricky Rubio (sore left knee) and Kevin Garnett (rest). Zach LaVine added 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
CELTICS 99, BUCKS 83
MILWAUKEE (AP) - Isaiah Thomas scored 20 points to power Boston to the victory.
David Lee and Evan Turner each had 13 points for the Celtics, and Jared Sullinger finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Boston's Avery Bradley sat out the second half with a bruised lower left leg. The starting guard was 1 of 6 from the floor for two points.
The Celtics scored 18 of the final 20 points in the third quarter to win consecutive games after losing three in a row.
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 16 points for the Bucks.
