Lincoln wide receiver Antwon Davis was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Davis broke Lincoln's single-game receiving record with 215 yards in Saturday's 34-31 loss to William Jewell at Dwight T. Reed Stadium. The previous mark of 210 was set by Doug Alexander.

Davis finished with 11 receptions and two touchdowns, with the second being a 71-yard score that completed a 17-point comeback in the second half by the Blue Tigers, tying the game at 31 with 3:36 to play. The first touchdown was a leaping catch in the back corner of the end zone, with Davis hauling in the pass in mid-air before just getting one foot down in bounds as he fell to the ground.

The 215 receiving yards rank as the second-most in a game by any GLVC player and the 14th-most in a contest by any NCAA Division II receiver this season.

Davis becomes the second Lincoln player this week to earn a GLVC's weekly award, as teammate Vanzell Richardson was selected as the league's Special Teams Player of the Week on Sept. 21.

Davis is the second Blue Tiger to be named GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, joining Morris Henderson, who was recognized on Sept 22, 2014.
