Two all-classes records highlighted the individual performances Saturday in the Class 3-5 Missouri State High School Activities Association Track and Field Championships.
Eureka's Hannah Long set an all-classes record while winning the 1,600-meter run in 4:40.15, breaking the mark of 4:44.26 set by Ste. Genevieve's Taylor Werner in 2014. Long was a double-winner, also claiming the Class 5 title in the 800-meter run. Long won both the 1,600 and 800 in Class 4 in 2013 and 2014.
Another all-classes record was set by Lee's Summit West's Nicole Kallenberger in the Class 5 pole vault, as she cleared 12-101/2. That broke the mark of 12-10 set by her sister, Brittany, in 2012.
There were two additional double-winners among the Class girls. Jasmine Barge of McCluer North won the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Barge won both while competing in Class 4 last season. Also, Jahliah Clay of Blue Springs South won the 100- and 200-meter dashes.
Among the Class 5 boys, Carlos Davis of Blue Springs won the shot put championship to join the title he won Friday in the discus and Andrew Madison of Liberty North won the 110-meter hurdles, a year after winning them in Class 3.
