Abducted child found in Nebraska

Jefferson City police announced Friday afternoon that the abducted child, Colton Lee Dominquez and his mother, Billie Jo Linhart, were located in Omaha, Nebraska.

A police press release showed the two were taken into custody without incident by the Omaha Police Department's Child Victim/Sexual Assault unit.

Investigators with the Jefferson City Police Department received an anonymous tip around 1 p.m. Friday on their whereabouts in Omaha. This information was then relayed to Omaha police who responded to the location and took custody of the child and apprehended the mother at approximately 2:15p.m.

Arrangements were being made to return the child back to his legal guardian.

Linhart will be transported to the Cole County Jail at a later date.
