A police press release Friday said the two were taken into custody without incident by the Omaha Police Department's Child Victim/Sexual Assault unit.

Authorities issued an endangered person advisory Thursday afternoon for a 2-year-old boy who allegedly was abducted by his mother.

According to the Jefferson City Police Department, the boy's mother, Billie Jo Linhart, does not have custody of the child and failed to return him to the court-appointed guardian, who is the boy's grandmother.

Due to Linhart's past behavior, authorities said the child, Colton Lee Dominguez, is believed to be in danger - so the Missouri Highway Patrol has issued the endangered person advisory.

Cole County issued a warrant for Linhart's arrest on child abduction charges.

Authorities believe Linhart is driving a 2005 white Kia Optima with Nebraska license plate number SZD940. They believe she could be en route to or in Nebraska.

Linhart, 31, is described as 5-foot 3 inches, 145 pounds, brown hair and green eyes. Colton is described as a white male, 2-feet tall, 24 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes.

Last Friday, the Cole County prosecutor's office filed a child abduction charge against Linhart.

Court documents show Linhart failed to return Colton when she was scheduled to, per a court-ordered custody agreement with the boy's grandmother. Linhart was supposed to bring the boy back to his grandmother's home in Jefferson City on the afternoon of May 17.

According to court documents, the grandmother made numerous calls to Linhart, asking her to bring the child back. Linhart replied via text message, "We're going back to court."

Jefferson City police checked numerous addresses for Linhart, but could not find her. Police made numerous attempts to call Linhart, but she has refused to answer her phone and fails to call back, authorities said.

On May 20, the grandmother got an ex-parte order terminating Linhart's visitation rights immediately.

Authorities were able to talk with a person who resides with Linhart who told them Linhart showed up and packed her belongings the week of May 17, saying she and the boy were going to Omaha and the son was going to stay with her.

Court records also show Linhart previously has been arrested for failure to appear and endangering the welfare of a child.
