Minor flooding on parts of Missouri River

BOONVILLE, Mo. (AP) -- Minor flooding continues along parts of the Missouri River, and the water level is expected to remain high through the week.

The National Weather Service reports that the river is above flood stage at Napoleon, Waverly and Boonville. It is near flood stage at Jefferson City and is also near flood stage in several eastern Missouri towns.

On-and-off rain is expected over much of the state this week, but significant flooding is not in the forecast. Damage along the river has been limited mostly to agricultural land and a few closed roads.
