The Helias Catholic High School Scholar's Bowl Team will compete in the 272-team national championship tournament May 30.
The team's success at the De Smet Varsity Invitational allowed them to advance to the National Academic Quiz Tournaments' High School National Championship Tournament.
The Helias team includes Thomas Asmar, Annie Donovan, Zach Gaines, Stephen Hirsch, Kate Robbins and Captain Morgan Johns. Shelley Swoyer is the long-time coach, assisted by Paula Zeitz.
They will be tested on their knowledge of history, science, literature, fine arts, geography, social sciences, current events, mythology, popular culture and sports.
