Jefferson City and Missouri's real estate markets continued their trend of higher selling prices and more units sold this April compared to a year before.
April 2015 home sales statistics from the Jefferson City Area Board of REALTORS are as follows:
Number of active listings: 625, a 6.8 percent decrease compared to 668 in April 2014.
Number of new listings: 209, a 1.4 percent decrease compared to 212 in April 2014.
Number of units sold: 115, a 6.5 percent increase compared to 108 in April 2014.
Average sales price: $141,781, a 2.2 percent increase compared to $138,761 in April 2014.
Average days on market: 96, a 3 percent decrease compared to 99 in April 2014.
Total units sold year-to-date: 362, an 11.7 percent increase compared to 324 in April 2014.
Statewide residential home sales statistics for April 2015 from Missouri REALTORS are as follows:
Number of homes sold: 6,153, an 8.1 percent increase compared to 5,693 in April 2014.
Average days on market: 122, a 6.9 percent decrease compared to 131 in April 2014.
Average sales price: $180,134, a 16 percent increase compared to $155,334 in April 2014.
Median sales price: $142,000, a 10.9 percent increase compared to $128,000 in April 2014.
Total units sold year-to-date: 19,533, an 8.2 percent increase compared to 18,054 in April 2014.
