3 Mid-Missouri residents hurt in wrecks

A Jefferson City teen was injured in a one-car accident at 10:01 a.m. Wednesday on Bald Hill Road south of Seven Hills Road in Cole County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, a northbound 2003 Ford Taurus, driven by Faith A. Lewis, 17, failed to negotiate a turn, went off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole and overturned.

Lewis was taken to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

She was wearing a seat belt.

• A Jefferson City teen was injured in a one-car accident at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday on Lookout Trail at West Street in Moniteau County.

The patrol reported a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu, driven westbound by Tara E. Gibson, 17, failed to negotiate a curve, went off the right side of the road, struck an embankment twice and a mailbox before coming to rest.

Gibson refused treatment at the scene.

She was wearing a seat belt.

• A Stover man was injured in a one-car accident at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on Route FF at Big Buffalo Road in Morgan County.

According to the patrol report, a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo, driven southbound by Michael S. Iliff, 34, went off the left side of the road, through a creek and came to rest after striking a tree.

Iliff was taken to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia.

It is not known if he was wearing a seat belt.
