SEDALIA - Gabe Trowbridge of Jefferson City shot a 76 on the first day of the Class 4 state golf championships Monday at the Sedalia Country Club.
Trowbridge, a three-time qualifier, is tied for 21st in the individual standings.
Nate Alexander of the Jays is one of three golfers tied for 53rd after shooting an 80 on Monday, while teammate Andrew Hansen is tied for 85th after an opening-round 87.
Dillon Eaton of Lafayette tops the individual standings after shooting a 69. Christopher Ferris of Lindbergh is second after a 70.
Rock Bridge totaled a 298 to lead the eight-team field. Marquette is second at 301. Glendale is third at 306, one shot better than Rockhurst and two shots ahead of St. Louis University High.
The tournament will conclude today.
