The Jefferson City Jays will have three golfers competing in the Class 4 state championships that starts today at the Sedalia Country Club.
Gabe Trowbridge, Andrew Hansen and Nate Erickson all qualified for the tournament with their sectional finishes last Monday.
It will be the third state appearance for Trowbridge, a junior who was 78th last year and 82nd in 2013. It will be the first trip for Hansen, a senior, and Erickson, a freshman.
Earlier this season, the Jays competed in the Smith-Cotton Classic at the Sedalia Country Club. Trowbridge shot a 71 to lead Jefferson City.
Rock Bridge is the defending Class 4 team champion.

Meadow Lake Acres Country Club will host the Class 1 state championships.
A pair of area players are among the qualifiers - Gannon Withers of New Bloomfield and Tristan Bolin of Tipton.
Action will begin at 8 a.m today and Tuesday.
