ST. LOUIS - Chamois and Calvary Lutheran competed Saturday in the Class 1 sectional at MICDS High School.
Lucas Kuhn of Chamois won two events, capturing the titles in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles. Chris Binggeli of Chamois was second in the shot put and discus, while Aaron Brandt was second in the 110-meter hurdles.
The three qualified for the Class 1 state track and field championships that start Friday at Dwight T. Reed Stadium in Jefferson City.
Also qualifying was John Meyer of Calvary Lutheran, who was third in the 800-meter run.
On the girls side, Samantha Gunn of Calvary Lutheran advanced to state by taking third in the 300-meter hurdles.
Autumn Baker of Chamois advanced in the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs, while teammate Cheyenne Hemeyer qualified in the triple jump. Chamois also advanced in the 4x800-meter relay.
