ST. LOUIS (AP) - A 43-year-old St. Louis area investment adviser faces nine years in prison and has to pay more than $3 million in restitution.
Federal prosecutors say Bryan Binkholder, of Wentzville, was sentenced to nine years in prison. He pleaded guilty in January to four felony counts of wire fraud and one count of bank fraud. He also has to repay his victims about $3.6 million.
Binkholder, who called himself "The Financial Coach," provided investment and financial planning advice through various online platforms and a radio talk show. He's accused of misusing millions of dollars he solicited for real estate developments.
Prosecutors said in a release that Binkholder was sentenced Friday.
