Parker on probation for injuring boy

A Jefferson City man has been placed on five years supervised probation for pleading guilty to a felony for applying pressure to a 1-year-old boy's right arm and causing it to fracture.

Court records show William Parker, 23, of 107 W. Ashley St., was charged with first-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

He had been left alone with the child in November 2013, when the incident occurred.

Parker told investigators an accident occurred and he saw the child standing on the couch.

He said the child fell and he, Parker, caught the child by the arm, which may have accidentally caused the injury.

Parker later told authorities, "I made a bad decision. I don't want to ruin my life."

He then admitted to twisting the child's arm out of frustration because he was crying.
