COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri Tigers had just two runners reach second base Thursday night in dropping a 1-0 decision to the Kentucky Wildcats in Southeastern Conference action at Taylor Stadium.
Kentucky scored the lone run of the game in the fifth inning off Missouri starter Reggie McClain. McClain worked the first eight innings, giving up eight hits and two walks while striking out four.
Kentucky (29-23 overall, 13-14 SEC) and Missouri (28-25, 14-14) are slated to resume their three-game series at 6 p.m. today.
