An accident on East Bend Road involving an off-road all terrain vehicle left one dead Tuesday.
According to the Cole County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to the 13700 block of East Bend Road at 2:06 p.m. Tuesday regarding an off-road ATV injury accident.
Upon arrival, deputies found Leonard R. Hoelscher, 64, dead under the ATV.
The sheriff's department is reminding residents to use caution when operating an ATV and other motorized equipment.
