The Calvary Lutheran Lions fell 6-3 at home Monday to New Bloomfield.
Beau Monson took the loss, going three innings and allowing four runs - two earned - on four hits with one walk and two strikeouts. Hance Sommerer pitched the game's remaining four innings, allowing two unearned runs on two hits, two strikeouts and two walks.
Bradley MacLaughlin and Shea Crisp were each 2-for-3 at the plate. MacLaughlin scored a run, and Crisp drove in two. Sommerer had a solo home run.
New Bloomfield took the JV game as well, 2-0.
Cavlary (7-7) faces Vienna in the opening round of districts Saturday at New Bloomfield.
