Girls Soccer: Lady Jays 6, Waynesville 0

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. - Sarah Luebbert scored two goals and dished out three assists Friday night to lead the Jefferson City Lady Jays to a 6-0 win against the Waynesville Lady Tigers.

McKenzie Gourley also had two goals for Jefferson City. Eden Hoogveld and Mackenzie Lochhead also scored for the Lady Jays, while Brianna Lock earned an assist.

Becca Sturgess and Megan Foster split time in goal in the shutout for Jefferson City.

Jefferson City (14-4-3, ranked No. 8 in Class 4) will close out the regular season Tuesday night at home against Kickapoo. The JV game will start at 4 p.m., followed by the varsity at around 5:45 p.m.

Jefferson City will host the Class 4 District 11 Tournament at the 179 Soccer Park. The top-seeded Lady Jays will take on fourth-seeded Sedalia Smith-Cotton at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16. Second-seeded Rock Bridge and third-seeded Hickman will follow at 12:30 p.m.

The championship will be played at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 19.
