BizBeat: Capital Mall finds spot for Claire's

Claire's boutique will make its way to a permanent spot in Jefferson City's Capital Mall later this year after moving to make room for the new Ross department store under construction.

The girls' accessory store moved from its long-time storefront in the JCPenney wing of the mall to a temporary location across from American Eagle in the Dillard's wing (in the space formerly occupied by Hot Topic) in late March.

In late summer Claire's will return to the JCPenney wing in a permanent space located between Ross and Bath & Body Works, said Capital Mall General Manager Jamie Reed.

Claire's agreed to move to accommodate the new Ross store, which is set to be completed and open in a 24,000-square-foot space between the mall's JCPenney and Sears wings by the end of August.
