MONTREAL (AP) - Nat Borchers and Diego Valeri scored in the second half to help the Portland Timbers beat the Montreal Impact 2-1 on Saturday.
Borchers scored in the 64th minute, and Valeri gave Portland (3-3-4) a 2-0 lead in the 70th.
Dominic Oduro scored for Montreal (0-3-2) in the 71st.
The Impact appeared to tie it in the 78th, but Jack McInerney's headed goal was disallowed. After initially calling it a good goal, referee Mark Geiger changed his decision after checking with his linesman. McInerney seemingly pushed a defender just prior to scoring.
Borchers scored on an easy tap-in header after goalkeeper Evan Bush made the initial save off forward Fanendo Adi. With the goal, Borchers ended Portland's goal drought at 281 minutes.
Back from an ACL tear and making his first start of the season, Valeri curled a shot out of Bush's reach to put the Timbers up 2-0.
CREW 3, SOUNDERS 2
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Kei Kamara scored two goals and Columbus beat Seattle for its first home victory against the Sounders.
Columbus (4-3-2) is 1-3-1 at home against Seattle (5-3-1). The visiting team had won the previous three meetings in the series.
Kamara headed home Waylon Francis' cross in the 10th minute to open the scoring for Columbus. Seattle's Clint Dempsey tied it 1 in the 24th minute.
Federico Higuain gave Columbus a 2-1 lead 4 minutes after halftime. A cross fell to him at the edge of the 18-yard box and he took five dribbles in the area to find a clearing. In the 58th minute, Kamara's casual redirection of a Hector Jimenez pass made it 3-1.
Dempsey had a controversial goal in the 75th minute. He appeared to be in an offside position on Obafemi Martins' shot. The rebound fell to Dempsey's feet and the flag stayed down.
Dempsey is tied with Kamara for the MLS goals lead with seven.
FC DALLAS 2, GALAXY 1
FRISCO, Texas (AP) - Tesho Akindele blasted in the go-ahead goal in the 86th minute and FC Dallas rallied to beat Los Angeles.
Mauro Diaz, who assisted on both goals, set up Akindele with a diagonal cross from near midfield.
Blas Perez pulled FC Dallas (6-2-2) even in the 77th minute, slipping past goalkeeper Jaime Penedo for an open net finish. Diaz floated a chip pass over the Galaxy defense to create the space for Perez.
FC Dallas remained first in the overall MLS standings, tied with the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Gyasi Zardes opened the scoring in the 59th minute.
Ignacio Maganto had a goal for the Galaxy (3-3-5) disallowed in the 40th minute after referee Kevin Stott ruled that the Tommy Meyer was in an offside position when he obstructed the sight line of goalkeeper Dan Kennedy.
REAL SALT LAKE 2, FIRE 1
BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (AP) - Alvaro Saborio and Luke Mulholland scored and Real Salt Lake beat Chicago for its first multigoal game since March.
Salt Lake (3-2-5) snapped a five-game winless streak and has not lost at Chicago (3-5-0) since 2009.
Saborio gave Real Salt Lake a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute. Jordan Allen crossed a ball to the top of the 18-yard box and Saborio calmly slotted it home.
It was the first goal by a RSL player since April 5.
Mulholland capped a nine-pass sequence in the 56th minute for a 2-0 lead.
Chicago's Jeff Larentowicz scored on a penalty kick in the 88th minute after Shaun Maloney was tripped in the area.
SPORTING KANSAS CITY 1, UNITED 1, TIE
WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. United's Jairo Arrieta and Sporting Kansas City's Dom Dwyer traded goals late in the first half.
Chris Pontius controlled Perry Kitchen's diagonal cross and stabbed it over to Arrieta for a quick left-footed strike in the 42nd minute that briefly put United (5-1-3) ahead.
Dwyer answered for Sporting KC (3-2-5) in the 45th minute with a smash from the middle of the 18-yard box, his third goal of the season. Dwyer also sent a header into the net off a free kick in the 62nd minute, but was caught offside.
United extended its undefeated streak to seven games.
WHITECAPS 3, UNION 0
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) - Morales and Octavio Rivero scored in the first half and Vancouver beat Philadelphia, handing the Union their fourth straight loss.
Second half-substitute Darren Mattocks also scored to help the Whitecaps (6-3-2) win at home for the first time since early April. Philadelphia dropped to 1-7-3.
