ST. LOUIS (AP) - Authorities have identified a teenager who was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in unincorporated north St. Louis County.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1H8Z2cv) reported Friday that police identified the teen as Deandre Wallace Jr. The 16-year-old lived a few blocks away from where he was struck Thursday night as he was trying to cross five lanes of traffic.
Police said the car that fled was a four-door, maroon sedan. The St. Louis County Police Department's crimes against persons unit is handling the investigation.
