Truck pull to benefit Wonderland camp

"Pulling for Camp," a fundraiser for Wonderland Camp, will take place Saturday at the Jefferson City Jaycees Fairgrounds.

Tickets for adults are $10.

The sleds used are built across the fairgrounds.

There will be two tracks running under Mid-Missouri Truck and Tractor Pulling Association rules.

Testing and tuning will take place in the afternoon, giving competitors the opportunity to perform test passes to make sure gearing and tire pressures are correct.

The pull starts at 7 p.m. with 11 classes of tractor and trucks. Organizers are hoping there could be as many as 80 competitors.

The money raised from this event goes toward work done at Wonderland Camp in Rocky Mount.

Wonderland Camp is a residential camp on the Lake of the Ozarks serving campers with disabilities, ages 6 years and older. Camp is operated Sunday through Friday and is devoted to individuals with a variety of developmental and physical disabilities. All facilities are wheelchair accessible. It offers swimming, fishing, boating, arts and crafts, dancing, miniature golf, talent shows and more.
