Tennis: Rock Bridge 7, Jays 2

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Jefferson City Jays dropped a 7-2 decision Tuesday to the Rock Bridge Bruins.

Both of the wins for the Jays came in singles matches. Spencer Bone won 6-2, 7-5, while Isaac Roling was a 7-6, 6-2 winner.

Falling in singles were David Claussen (6-4, 2-6, 12-14 match tiebreaker), David Steinmeyer (4-6, 4-6), Dane Biesemeyer (2-6, 1-6) and Joey Mendez (2-6, 5-7).

The Jays doubles teams of Clausen and Biesemeyer, Bone and Roling, and Steinemeyer and Karsten McMillan all lost their matches by 8-2 scores.

Jefferson City (16-3) will wrap up the regular season Friday with a home match against Marquette. Action is scheduled to begin at 4:45 p.m. at Washington Park.
