Tennis: Helias 8, Fulton 1

The Helias boys tennis team celebrated Senior Day with an 8-1 win against Fulton on Tuesday at Washington Park.

The Crusaders won all three doubles matches. T.J. Hagenhoff and Ryan Hagenhoff won 9-8 (10-4 match tiebreaker), Klint Braun and Tristan Grawe won 8-1 and Dylan Grawe and Dalton Buschjost won 8-0.

Helias' lone loss came at No. 1 singles, where Hagenhoff fell 2-6, 6-3, 1-10 (match tiebreaker).

Singles winners for the Crusaders were Braun (6-1, 6-1), Pollock (6-0, 6-1), Dylan Grawe (6-1, 6-1), Buschjost (6-1, 6-1) and Tristan Grawe (6-1, 6-3).

Helias won seven doubles matches in JV action.

The Helias varsity will host the Jefferson City JV on Thursday at Washington Park to end the regular season.

The Crusaders will then host Father Tolton in the semifinals of the district tournament Tuesday, with the winner advancing to Wednesday's district final, also at Washington Park.

Helias will also host the individual district tournament May 16.
