BELTON - The Jefferson City Jays claimed the title Friday at the Joe Falcon Invitational.
Jefferson City finished with 102 team points, edging second-place Rock Bridge by a half-point.
The Jays did not win an event Friday, but did have three second-place finishes. Runners- up were the 4x800-meter relay team, Jackson Schwartz in the 1,600-meter run and Nathaniel Bustamante in the pole vault.
Jefferson City is back in action Friday when it hosts a boys-girls quad with Helias, Hickman and School of the Osage at Adkins Stadium.
