One injured after single-car wreck

A Macks Creek woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 9:55 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 54 at Sunny Slope Drive in Camden County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Ford F150, driven westbound by Shannon K. Whittle, 38, skidded across the center of the road and went off the left side of the road, striking a rock bluff and overturning. Whittle was partially ejected from the vehicle.

She was taken to University Hospital in Columbia.

Whittle was not wearing a seat belt.

• One person was treated for injuries after a two-vehicle accident Friday morning in Jefferson City.

Police reports show a vehicle driven by Celeste Buchanan, 19, of Henley, was going west on East Atchison Street around 8 a.m., approaching the intersection of Moreau Drive.

A vehicle driven by Ross Kaplan, 36, of Jefferson City, was going north on Moreau Drive, which turns into Clark Avenue at the intersection of East Atchison Street.

Buchanan began to turn right onto northbound Clark from East Atchison and collided with Kaplan.

Kaplan was treated for injuries to his head and neck and was not wearing a seat belt.

Buchanan had no reported injuries and was wearing a seat belt.
