Jays roll past Rolla in boys tennis

The Jefferson City boys tennis team gave up just five total games while winning their dual match with Rolla by a 9-0 score Monday at Washington Park.

The Jays improved to 3-0 the season with the victory.

Posting wins in singles were David Clausen (6-0, 6-0), David Steinmeyer (6-0, 6-2), Spencer Bone (6-0, 6-0), Dane Biesemeyer (6-0, 6-0), Isaac Roling (6-0, 6-0) and Joey Mendez (6-0,6-1).

Teaming up to win doubles matches were Clausen and Bone (8-2), Steinmeyer and Biesemeyer (8-0) and Roling and Karsten McMillan (8-0).

Jefferson City's junior varsity squad will travel to Waynesville on Thursday to take on the Tigers' varsity, while the Jays' varsity team is off until April 8 when it hosts Rock Bridge.
