BizBeat: Texas-based company purchases Corwin dealerships

RFJ Auto Partners announced last week that it purchased the auto dealerships of the Corwin Automotive Group in Jefferson City.

Corwin Nissan, Corwin Kia, Corwin Honda and Corwin Hyundai, located on Missouri Boulevard, are now in business as Nissan of Jefferson City, Kia of Jefferson City, Honda of Jefferson City and Hyundai of Jefferson City, branded together as the Jefferson City Autoplex.

RFJ Auto Partners, a subsidiary of the Jordan Company founded in July 2014 and operated by industry executive Rick Ford, is based in Plano, Texas.

The change in ownership will not affect local employment or vehicle warranties for customers who purchased vehicles from the Corwin dealerships, according to employees.

"RFJ is dedicated to continuing a customer-driven mindset to the communities of Jefferson City, Columbia and surrounding areas that the Corwin family has fortified over the years, while providing the same great deals and superior service the region is accustomed to. With the same friendly faces and quality service, RFJ plans to deliver a superior customer experience that the residents deserve," Ford said in a news release. "We are looking forward to becoming part of the Capital City and ensure our organization supports the local community and residents to the fullest extent."
