Baseball: Blair Oaks 6, New Bloomfield 1

NEW BLOOMFIELD - Ryan Paschal threw five shutout innings Monday to lead the Blair Oaks Falcons to a 6-1 victory against the New Bloomfield Wildcats.

Paschal scattered three hits and two walks while striking out one. Alec Sieg and Jason Rackers each pitched an inning of relief.

Jordan Hair, James Reinkemeyer and Bryce Pritchett had an RBI each for Blair Oaks.

The Falcons scored single runs in the second and third innings before adding three in the sixth and one in the seventh.

New Bloomfield's run came in the sixth on an RBI from Derek Shikles, who finished with two hits.

Brady Weiler took the loss for the Wildcats, working the first six innings. He allowed all six runs (two earned) on five hits and four walks while recording a strikeout. Sam Niedergerke pitched a scoreless seventh.

Blair Oaks (3-0) is back in action Friday at Eldon.
