COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Helias girls soccer team dropped its season opener Friday, losing 3-2 to Rock Bridge in penalty kicks.
Kayla Yanskey and Casey Linsenbardt scored unassisted for Helias, and the teams tied at 2 in regulation. The Bruins won 2-1 in penalty kicks.
The Lady Crusaders (0-1) play Tuesday at Waynesville.
Helias won the junior varsity game 2-0 on two goals from Lauren Alexander. Kelsey Schenewerk and Sarah Pierle had the assists.
