Heritage Month entries sought

The annual art, essay and multimedia contest, sponsored by the Historic City of Jefferson in honor of May as Heritage Month, is seeking entries.

Art teachers are local schools have been contacted with information. Two age categories separate sixth-eighth graders and 9th-12th graders.

Art may be in any medium and mounted on a 15x20-inch illustration board.

The essay should be about 800 words. And mulitmedia entries should be either a PowerPoint presentation with a minimum of 25 slides or a maximum five-minute video.

The work should focus on a historic building, part of town or event.
