Sewer work will close Lafayette Street from just north of East Elm Street to East Miller Street in Jefferson City from 7 a.m. on Wednesday until 9 a.m. on Thursday.
In preparation for the sewer work, the center lane of Lafayette Street will be closed from Dunklin Street to East Miller Street to install temporary concrete on Tuesday.
Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route and allow extra time to reach their destination.
The work is taking place as part of the Lafayette Street Interchange project.
