Two Jefferson City residents have been charged in connection with a drug raid Friday morning in Jefferson City.

Court documents show Charles Jackson, 40, and Adrian Fultz, 37, are facing charges following the raid in the 200 block of Center Street.

Members of the Jefferson City Police Department's SWAT team and the MUSTANG Drug Task Force were involved in the raid.

Jackson is charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a firearm and receiving stolen property.

A Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement said Jackson ran from officers when they entered the living room area of the residence and attempted to barricade himself in the bathroom.

The bathroom door was forced open, and Jackson was taken into custody.

A search of the residence found approximately 4.8 ounces of pre-packaged, for sale crack cocaine and powder cocaine in a bag under a storage container of clothes in Jackson's bedroom.

In Jackson's bedroom closet, a stolen .40-caliber handgun was located with eight rounds of ammunition in the magazine. A box containing 42 rounds of 9mm Luger ammunition was also found in the closet. There was also $1,900 in currency located in a jacket in Jackson's closet, and another 9mm handgun was found with seven rounds in the magazine.

Two digital scales and baggie materials were located in the kitchen of the residence.

Jackson was on parole for other crimes at the time of the raid.

Fultz is charged with the sale of heroin near schools between October and December of last year. The sales were conducted by a confidential police informant and recorded near Immaculate Conception and East Elementary schools, police said.

Fultz is considered a prior drug offender, as his criminal history indicates at least one prior conviction for distribution of controlled substances in July 1996.
