Jefferson City man gets probation for multi-car DWI accident

A Jefferson City man was placed on two years unsupervised probation for pleading guilty to amended charges in connection with hitting three parked cars and a guard rail in October.

Court records show Justin Brown, 27, of 1809 St. Mary's Blvd., pleaded guilty to misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated (DWI).

He had originally been charged with three counts of leaving the scene of an accident and one count of DWI.

As part of his probation, Brown must pay $1,408 in restitution and have an interlock device installed in his vehicle.

Brown hit the vehicles while driving down the 2400 block of St. Louis Road and hit the guard rail in the 3000 block of East McCarty Street.

His passenger told police they knew they hit the vehicles, but Brown laughed and continued to drive until he was pulled over in the 3700 block of West Truman Boulevard.

Brown has one prior DWI conviction in 2011 and has prior arrests for resisting arrest.
