A Jefferson City man is facing criminal charges after a chase with authorities early Sunday morning.
Jervontaye Warmack, 21, of 220 W. Ashley St., is charged with driving without a valid license and resisting arrest.
A Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement shows the chase started just after 12:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of Madison Street.
Warmack admitting to police he was driving to attend a party.
He fled from police and drove at high speeds, cutting cars off and running red lights for about nine miles until he was taken when he went off Route C onto a dead end road and was no longer able to flee.
Warmack also had an active warrant for his arrest.
