Museum launching Saturday series

The Missouri State Museum will launch its newest programming series, "Storytime Saturdays."

The program, which will run from March 7 through May 23, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday mornings and is a series of stories and interactive programs on Missouri's history and natural resources.

"Storytime Saturdays" will focus on families with children aged 3-6. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the programs will be in various locations throughout the museum's History and Resources halls, which is located on the first floor of the state Capitol in Jefferson City.

Program themes for March include: March 7: "Bees;" March 14: "Steamboats;" March 21: "The Missouri Giantess" and March 28: "Flowers."
