Lincoln's Biue earns MIAA honor

After a season in which he finished third in the conference in scoring and second in assists, Lincoln senior Joshua Buie was named to the league's honorable mention men's basketball team by the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association on Monday.

Buie was the only MIAA player to finish the regular season in the conference's top five in scoring and assists, as he averaged 17.1 points and 4.3 assists per contest. The native of O'Fallon, Ill., also finished the 2014-15 season sixth in the league in steals (1.8), 14th in field goal percentage (.478) and first in minutes played (36.1).

Buie scored in double digits in 26 of Lincoln's 28 games, including seven 20-point performances. He finished with two double-doubles - an 18-point, 12-assist performance against Nebraska-Kearney and a 19-point, 11-assist game against Missouri Southern.

This marks the second consecutive year Buie was named honorable mention all-conference.
