Women's Basketball: Missouri State 86, Drake 57

SPRINGFIELD - The Missouri State Lady Bears set a JQH Arena record Sunday with 13 3-pointers in a 86-57 defeat of Drake.

Lee Ann Polowy (Blair Oaks High School) hit three of the 13 treys and finished with nine points. Polowy went 3-of-6 from the field in just nine minutes on the court.

Three players finished with double-digit scoring totals on Senior Day for Missouri State, including NiJay Gaines, the team's lone senior, who scored 11. Kenzie Williams led all scorers with 16 points and Tyonna Snow had 10.

The Lady Bears moved into sole possession of third place in the Missouri Valley Conference standings with the win against Drake, the No. 2 team in the MVC.

The win was Missouri State's sixth straight, and the Lady Bears finished the season with an 11-4 record at home. Missouri State (14-13, 11-5 MVC) plays Thursday at Indiana State and Saturday at Evansville to finish out the regular season.
