Your Opinion: Man makes mockery of God's word

Dear Editor:

When did man decide to question God's plan for mankind? Why did we question his plan for us?

God made male and female. He sanctified marriage between man and woman in both the Old and New Testaments. But now we feel we have a better plan. We think it can be between two men or two women. But what have we accomplished? We have made a mockery of God's word.

Now Christians who feel the Bible is the inspired word of God are ridiculed, called bigots and homophobes. The Bible tells us that our body is the temple of God and we should not abuse it. We have been bought with Christ's blood. This priceless gift affords us eternal life if we accept Him.

Is homosexuality an alternate lifestyle? The Bible condemns it. Paul tells us in his first letter to Corinthians 6:9-11 who will not enter the kingdom of God. Paul was God's chosen instrument to carry His word to the Gentiles so Paul spoke with the authority of God.

We also feel we have a right to abort a baby any time because after all it is my body. But how did that baby get there and when did that life begin? Scientists tell us they are not sure when life began. King David knew he was knit in his mother's womb and God told Jeremiah, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you." If we interfere at any time after conception that little life in the womb will die and it will not become a baby. We have just killed the most precious gift God has given a family.

The Supreme Court played God in 1973 telling us abortion was legal and 57,762,169 babies have paid the price. Now the Supreme Court has once again decided to change God's rules and legalize same sex marriage.

God has certain rules for his children and Jesus makes it plain that not everyone who says, "Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven but only he that does the will of my Father who is in heaven." Matt. 7:21.

People, please pick up your Bible and read it. It contains the basic information before leaving earth.
