Justin Neihart is cultivating a new outdoor landscaping service for Jefferson City area residents.
United Landscape Design is already open for business, offering custom landscape services for residential and commercial customers. The business, located at 2405 Industrial Drive, will open a nursery next month.
Owner Neihart has six years of landscaping experience as well as a degree in turf management. The staff has a combined total of about 80 years of landscaping experience, he said.
"We specialize in proper plant placement. Knowing what species to put where is a big piece of it," Neihart said. "You want to know that if you plant something now, in five years it's not going to be pushing you off your sidewalk."
United Landscape Design's greenhouse is full of perennials, hanging baskets, fresh produce and more being prepped for the nursery's opening in early July.
Neihart also plans to hold a grand opening Sept. 1, which will include food and refreshments as well as opportunities to ask questions about the business' services.
