A new Jefferson City app has been developed to help guide visitors to attractions, restaurants and hotels.
The Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau announced Tuesday the release of the free app on iTunes, which is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
The app's development was part of a prize won in October 2013 when Jefferson City was named America's Most Beautiful Small Town in Rand McNally's Best of the Road contest. Since then, the CVB has been working with Rand McNally staff to develop the interactive app that includes directories, photos and tips for visitors, such as best times to visit and the ability to create a custom itinerary.
The free app is not available for Android products.
