Nine area players named all state in girls soccer

A total of nine area players were named to the all-state teams named recently by the Missouri Soccer Coaches Association.

The Helias Lady Crusaders had two players honored in Class 3, as senior Maddie Lammers was a second-team pick at defender and junior Emma Wyrick was an honorable-mention honoree at defender.

Three area players were named in Class 2, two from Southern Boone and one from School of the Osage. Niki Kleinheider, a junior, and Kylie Shoot, a sophomore, were both named second-team midfielders for Southern Boone. School of the Osage senior Megan Atkin was an honorable mention defender.

Four Fatima Lady Comets earned honors in Class 1. Kristen Boeckmann, a senior, earned a first-team spot at defender, while senior Malary White was a first-team selection at midfielder. Making the second team were senior Liz Laughlin at defender and senior Riley Caminiti at midfielder.
