The latest production for Stained Glass Theatre is based on the true story of George Mueller, who lived in Bristol, England, and decided to depend solely on God for his financial support. With complete faith he went to God daily for his needs, and the play tells the miraculous ways in which God met those needs.

Mueller learned to depend on God and God alone to support more than 10,000 orphans at a cost of more than $8 million.

Director Tina Brown is directing for the first time but said it wasn't too difficult since she has acted as assistant director with a friend before, and, because of the collaboration, it doesn't seem new.

She is assisted by her youngest daughter, Katelyn. Her other daughter and grandchild are also in the show.

There are three other families with multiple members in the cast.

The Apperson family has a mother, father and two children in the cast; the Chaney family has a father and two children in the show; and the Gearhart family has a mother and two children in the cast.

There is a total of 15-20 cast members.

The show begins with a prologue in the 1900s, then goes back to the 1800s to tell Mueller's tale.

The character of George Mueller is played by Adam Sullens as a young man and by Mark Howard as the older Mueller.

It has been a challenge because, for various reasons, some cast members had to drop out of the production, but Brown said she basically used Mueller's method - to let God take care of it.

Brown cited Bernie Houchens as a great liaison with the Stained Glass board to help her get what she needs to produce the show. Roger Martin has lent his artistic talents again to set painting, and Mike Harvey designed and constructed the set.

"It has been a pleasure working with these people and their families. It is what Stained Glass Theatre is all about - love of God and family," Brown said.
