A Jefferson City man has been charged first-degree child molestation.
Rimolli Wease, 45, is accused of touching the private area of a girl under the age of 14, while the two were lying together on a chaise lounge.
Court records show the incident occurred at a residence in the 600 block of Broadway Street.
When questioned, Wease initially denied wrongdoing, but later admitted to committing the act.
The incident occurred early Wednesday morning and the victim ran away from Wease to tell her father what happened.
As of Thursday, Wease was being held on $50,000 bond in the Cole County Jail.
