Stadium Boulevard, Christy Drive intersection to be three-way stop

As part of Jefferson City's project to improve Stadium Boulevard, Christy Drive and Monroe Street near Capital Region Medical Center, the signalized intersection at Stadium and Christy will temporarily become a three-way stop starting at 9 a.m. Friday.

Stop signs will replace the signal at the intersection for at least two weeks to allow for the road improvement work. In addition, there will be only one through lane on Stadium Boulevard to accommodate motorists going straight, as well as turning left.

At a three-way stop, the right-of-way belongs to the first car stopped at the stop sign and continues until all cars have passed. If multiple cars stop at the same time, the vehicle on the left should yield to the vehicle on the right.
