ROCKBRIDGE, Mo. (AP) - Authorities say a 55-year-old southern Missouri man has drowned in a creek.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Steven K. Gear of Ava drowned Wednesday in Bryant Creek in Douglas County. The patrol says Gear was wading in the creek when he was swept into deeper water by a strong current.
The patrol says Gear was not wearing a safety device.
