June 2015 home sales statistics

Jefferson City and Missouri's real estate markets remain steady, with June's numbers of homes sold and average selling prices on pace with the same month last year and the year-to-date number of residential units sold surpassing last year's.

June 2015 home sales statistics from the Jefferson City Area Board of REALTORS are as follows:

Number of active listings: 653, a 12.8 percent decrease compared to 749 in June 2014.

Number of new listings: 200, an 11.1 percent increase compared to 180 in June 2014.

Number of units sold: 132, a 0.8 percent decrease compared to 133 in June 2014.

Average sales price: $146,818, a 3.2 percent decrease compared to $151,739 in June 2014.

Average days on market: 110, a 6 percent decrease compared to 117 in June 2014.

Total units sold year-to-date: 645, a 17.3 percent increase compared to 550 in June 2014.

Statewide residential home sales statistics for June 2015 from Missouri REALTORS are as follows:

Number of homes sold: 8,090, an 18.2 percent increase compared to 6,844 in June 2014.

Average days on market: 113, a 7.4 percent decrease compared to 122 in June 2014.

Average sales price: $187,248, a 4.1 percent increase compared to $179,941 in June 2014.

Median sales price: $154,900, a 5 percent increase compared to $147,500 in June 2014.

Total units sold year-to-date: 34,888, a 10 percent increase compared to 31,730 in June 2014.
